What is a High Mileage Oil Change?

A high mileage oil change is like any of our other oil changes, with one important difference: we use a oil designed to benefit high mileage cars and trucks. Our high mileage oils are specially designed for vehicles with more than 75,000 miles on the odometer.

High mileage oils include additives meant to benefit older and higher-mileage engines. High mileage oil might not be recommended for some high-performance cars, hybrids, and newer vehicles. Ask us if a high mileage oil is right for you.

Fewer Leaks and Drips

One common complaint we hear from drivers of older cars and trucks has to do with oil leaks and drips. High mileage oils include special sealing agents and conditioners. These additives restore the materials which make up the seals in your engine, preventing oil leaks, and reducing your vehicle’s oil consumption.

Less Accumulated Sludge

In your engine, sludge builds up as oil breaks down, thickens, and deteriorates. Over time, sludge can do major damage to your engine. Our high mileage oil includes detergents, dispersants, and other additives which work together to protect your engine from accumulating extra sludge.
